Seeking therapy can feel daunting, especially during challenging times. I understand the courage it takes to begin this journey. I operate from an integrative approach, meaning I know many therapeutic techniques and tailor the therapy process to my client's wants and needs. I use a person-centered and strengths-based approach along with CBT, DBT and mindfulness.
Therapy should be flexible. Some of my clients like to be more directive in the therapeutic process. They want to pick the modality and what we discuss. Other clients prefer for me to take the lead, and for most clients, it falls somewhere in between the two.
I stay current in methodology and what is evidence-based, excelling in thinking outside the box to find what can best serve my clients. I prefer to take an honest approach with my clients to create an environment where they feel completely comfortable expressing their needs and giving me feedback about our time together. My counseling sessions are not stuffy, my clients and I talk about a lot of tough subjects, and we laugh a lot.

My session fee is $125.00. I offer both virtual and in-person sessions in McKinney.
Wellness
Wellness is about achieving a state of balance and harmony in your life. I operate from the perspective that numerous factors affect my client's mental health, including social support, spirituality, community involvement, and physical health. Holistic therapy integrates the body and mind knowing that mental well-being has a profound effect on physical health. We also know that the effects of trauma can impact our physical body in various ways. In addition to traditional therapy, I offer my clients referrals to trusted holistic professionals such as energy healers, chiropractors, acupuncturists, and Reiki practitioners. For my clients who are interested, I integrate somatic methods, mindfulness, and meditation practices into our therapeutic approach.
